Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a cool light show view from the spacious rooms during our coastal road trip. The ocean view, large bed, and balcony added to the comfortable stay, but some areas felt a bit tired. The service was pleasant, with quick responses to room issues, although early morning cleaning disrupted our last day. The location was perfect, near the beach and surrounded by colorful lights choreographed to music and attractions like Rogue River and Samuel Boardman State Park. The dining experience was not satisfactory due to limited options and inconvenient collection. Overall, a unique experience with mixed feelings.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not ready due to hot water issues at the associated Chowder House but were close to the beach, making access easy. The $10 breakfast credit at a nearby restaurant was a nice touch.
I was impressed by the vaulted ceiling in the room, which made it feel bigger, although it didn't match the one in the brochure. The cleanliness was top-notch, but a deeper clean wouldn't hurt. The service was friendly, and I appreciated the discount coupon for Spinner's. The location was quiet and safe, with easy access to the beach. However, the dining experience fell short with a disappointing 'grab and go' breakfast. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement.
The hotel rooms may need a little refreshment but are free from any unpleasant odors. Though not exactly as pristine as pictured online, they were acceptable given the price point. The location is a highlight, with easy access to the beach. Some furnishings show signs of wear and tear, but overall, decent for the value.
The hotel is perfectly located with a huge grass area granting access to the beach and offering some local tips for the area. The rooms with a fireplace were completely separate, providing privacy in a different building facing the ocean, clean and quiet upon arrival. The service was exceptional, with a constructed small screen featuring local shows and a short feature film, alongside friendly and helpful staff. The dining experience included a sack with some small items but was lacking larger meal options. The facilities were convenient and well-maintained.
The hotel had everything we needed at a good price and was just fine. The service was very helpful, even late at night during a struggle with the door key. The location was good with sea views but the town was uninspiring, located in Gold Beach, which is highly unrecommended. The dining consisted of a $10 credit at an adjacent cafe and was great at the chowder house.
